relationships is the easiest. how you have to try to follow your heart but your head is telling you something different. or politics, how you know something is morally wrong but you have to do whats best for the country, or school how you wana go one place becuase the program is great but all your other friends are going someplace else cuz its a party school. just think of different times you have felt conflicted and why

How about priorities. Whatever subject, you could use that for your base. Whatever you do, don't base what you say on politics or religion. Nobody ever agrees on either of those.Say positive comments whenever possible. Do some imaginary case studies, with research of course. Don't fidget while your talking.
Stand straight and speak plainly with no hair in your face..If you are speaking to a croud look just over their heads and not right at anyone. If you use your hands to talk, keep your fingers closed and make both hands do the same thing at the same time.Hope this is helping, if not, just ignore me.
Also, maybe what caused the mixed emotion was a mixed message..like someone says I love you then gives you a wallop.ha.

Here are some other examples when mixed emotions may be involved:
1. The birth of a child. Happy to have a child but concerned/worried about child's future.
2. A mother's feelings on the marriage of her only daughter. Happy for the daughter; anxious about her future happiness .
Will the marriage last?
3. The death a terminally-ill parent/child/sister/brother/close friend. Sorry and sad about the actual death; relieved, even happy, that the person has died and therefore no longer suffering.
4. Graduation. Happy to complete school; anxious about what the future holds (finding a job, moving out from home, making your own way in the world).
Hope this helps.

If only the world were black or white. But a lot of things are gray.
Sometimes we have to take our pick from two right things and at other times pick the easier out of two wrong things. When we do, we're left with "mixed emotions"?
If you had a baby and you had a chance to go and save the world, would you stay at home and look after the baby or leave her alone and save the world?
You'll see the mixed emotions when you ask that question to the audience.

Write about something like confessions of some executioner. Even though he had to abide by the law, yet he was human enough to feel the pain before the blade fell. Write that, he wa s accustomed to his duty, this thought making him feel easy, yet on the other hand, the thought of killing people makes him sick.
Many at times, there are innocent people who get convicted by foul play and are made to be executed at his hands! He may be knowing that the guy is innocent but he has to do that just for the sake of 'so called LAW'...
I think this would be the best mixed emotions speech...
let me know...

Hi, I suggest that you select a current newsworthy topic, such as politics or the Iraq war. Then 1st present some facts concerning both sides. Then state different emotional opinions.

Think about when something pissed you off and the circumstances surrounding that moment in time. Also, think about something that happened that made you really sad, or excited. Go on personal experiences, your speech will be richer for it.
