Go to the copyright office and have it certified as your own and then they give u legal documents that prove it belongs to you!

My advice is contact a lawyer and ask them and they may be able to tell u the right way to get something copyrighted.

You can do this at the US Copyright Office – see the last 2 links in the source box. The application is fairly simple & the cost is $30 per application (it will likely rise to $45 by July 1).

Go to copyright.gov. There is an application process. For books etc., the cost is around $35.

The ovious solution would to publish it, than ask the publisher to copyright it.
