just click on the call button in yahoo messenger.
it will ask you to go through a call setup assistant.
then after that a sound like a phone ringing will come. and a message goes your contact appears to be offline please leave a message after the bep. and the beep comes. then send record ur message and click end.
it will send it as a voicemail

I think u have to be online to make a messege. U can use the call feature and that means u are dialing from your computer and u use your mic to talk to the other person. I believe no matter where u are calling from and to it is free. Check the rules on the messenger and the only other way is having a chat though the microphones person to person. I personally am not aware u can leave a voice messege for a offline messege.

Just call up your buddy evenif he is offline once the ring is through you will hear a Automated voice to leave your message after beep then leave your message and Hung Up.
