Truth is useless if it hurts or brings tears.A distracted truth(lie) could do well.For example,if ur lover asks u,how attractive ws ur ex?what would u choose to tell?
i've yet to come out of the tearful truth my partner told me how his ex loved him passionately.
A lie which mends hearts,brings smile on people's face,creates peace is equal to 100 truths.

In A perfect world the later would be the better answer,however in the charming little,well,(let's just call it the gate way to hell)town.Number one would be the correct answer,let someone else be the bearer of the bad news.I hate being the bad guy.
