You placed half the truth!
Greed is our biggest enemy but our best friend, also! Depends how and where do we become greedy!
When we are greedy for love, knowledge, improve living standards, ...., is our greatest friend!
If we are stupid enough and are greedy for money, property, nonsense, and lower things, then, greed does not allow us to progress, and that is bad! But what is to blame, greed or our wrong ideas and society?

How does one answer your question .......... Greed our enemy well guess just sums up your answer that leads to more wants to more need to more things wherein you forget that its greed leading you to all kinds of temptation.
greed to a certain amount is alright i guess its human but if it exceeds its totally gonna ruin you!!!
