I don't think so. As long as they can act. I don't mind watching an ugly person act. Take a look at Steve Buscemi. He played all of the great characters, none of them were even remotle cute but he is such a great actor that you want to watch him. He knows he is not good looking or even cute for that matter, but it does not stop him from being a great actor. He has been in over 100 + movies or tv show. just look at some of the movies he has been in.

Most of them really aren't that ugly, though. They get makeup to make them look worse than they really do. If you look at a picture of them at a red carpet event you usually can't even recognize them.
I don't think actors feel bad when they get these parts, they understand how the character is supposed to be when they try out for it. It's not like a director sees them on the street and says, "Hey, you would be perfect for this ugly girl part in my new movie. Come with me!" Actors find the script and they want that part and they try to get it based on their acting, not how they look.
Actors don't necessarily want to have all the pretty, starring roles in movies and tv shows. Some of them strictly play jerks, villains, hillbillies, and ugly kids.

Genuine actors [not 'stars' !] - especially the handsome males, or beautiful females - would feel real GOOD if requested to play the role of an ugly character :
Getting rave reviews for playing such roles, that are totally opposite to their own characters, is what every actor's fondest dreams are made of !

a role is a role is a role. As long as the guild is paying them their wages I don't think anyone cares.
In some cases "ugly" people sought out films as those films were the only way they were going to get work.
Look at the midgets. At one point in time, no one took them seriously as a person and they banded together as a single unit. Not that I am saying they are ugly, just that they are another slice of good ol' fashioned american politics.

probably yes but real actors feel bad when they can represent or act in the character that they should be asked to do.
A real actor doesn't care about any roll that is why they are actors, a fake actor always want to be cute and neat.

I think most actors don't mind playing an ugly character..even are happy to,because of the challenge of getting into that part they have to play.

I do not think so. I believe that acting as an ugly person is more a challenge for them. If they can pull it off, specially with the complexities (i.e. insecurities, doubts and fears) of being ugly, then they are even proud of their chosen roles. :)

No because they choose the roles they play. If I was a actor I'd want to play a little bit of everything so I can broaden my horizons!

real actors feel bad if they cannot play the role well... if they can play /perform the role well, regardless of what role it is, will surely make them feel good... audience applause good character /role player, cause audience know it is only acting...
