2d character. There's always a lot of inhibition when you're conceptualizing a 3d character. Its too "real". You'll have to consider the shadows, depth, proportion, volume, whats possible and whats not.
Incidentally, Im short, furry, have huge blinking eyes, vast ears, long triangular nose, black hands and i love eating Eucalyptus leaves.

you'll likely pick 5000+ hours or a shitload of animators to create what you pick, try looking in China or a third international usa. you need to objective Poser. All software works an same you'll pick to spend round 4 years learning that and through then your dream will be lengthy gone..... In all seriousness be taught Flash or Maya/MAX
