It's a good game that predate Doom. The learning curve is quite easy.Are you talking about the latest version or the first version?
there is a huge difference in the engines they used. though the genre is the same a First person shooter.

Wolfenstein is a good game because it is the most popular first person shooter game that took advantage of 3D game making.
The game isn't really true 3D, they used programming tricks to fool the eye that it is 3D but really a 2D game. But they made it look like you were in a 3D game.
Doom came next which was a big improvement over Wolfenstein, but Wolfenstein was a great game when it came out.

Wolfenstein is good.You should try doom 3 or Unreal 2005

It's graphics may be nothing now,but listen till date i have never played such a super game with perfect story line and great music which will make you sit and play like a real soldier does.The ghosts part really horrifies you.I say go get it ....you will never be dissapointed.
And plz don't use cheats.....
