I agree with you. Just one question, are you a smart Democrat that figured that out or a good Republican? I'm only partially kidding there. We are moving towards a socialistic society and loosing our freedoms. Every time we vote in a new law that restricts our freedoms, and every time we initiate a new program encouraging people to rely on our government to do our work for us. It is scaring the hell out of me!

Human freedom is an illusion in contemporary society. The truth is that we had more freedom living in nature in small bands and tribes, than we do living in complex societies. We essentially become enslaved by the society, we are measured up by our utility - our purpose and our skills. When you are young, you are at your prime and you are worth your most, and as you age you begin to depreciate in value - until the day comes when you're retired and essentially worthless to society for you can't contribute to it.
During my final years of university, the world somehow became more apparent and suffice to say, that it was somewhat sad to see the world and the people living within it realistically, that is to say that the majority of people in the world will willingly oblige and conform to whatever rules put upon them. Even worse is that most people think they are free or that they are rebelling, when in fact they are just conforming. Companies package and sell rebellion, and people buy it up unaware that they are buying into a complex and devious advertising scheme. The end sustains the system, man will forever be enslaved.

Liberals dont see it as that. Liberals are into feel good politics and dont realize they are selling us all down the river. Some moderates arent much better. I suppose its because most americans nowadays have never really seen hard times. Most of the WW2 vets are gone now, or old and soon will be leaving us. Americans have had it on easy street for a long time, and have become complacent on many levels.

Because people are so busy working hard with their nose to the grindstone, they fail to take the time to see what they are losing.
unfortunally a majority of people can be sold with propeganda and the same incumbants are being voted in because they "know the ropes" or because hey i heard that name before.
our school system teaches 4 years of american indian history and maybe 1 semester of why voting is important and how to select a politician.. kids are raised watching tv and ads, being nurtured into buying into the mass media.
any country that trades freedom for security loses both.
too bad every man and woman doesn't have right to carry in America. I'd like to see a terrorist try to hijack something with 200 gun weilding citizens sitting behind him.

JFK is probable delivering his grave. became exceedingly a lot going to say FDR besides yet he turned right into a closet socialist besides. He only sufficient commons experience to no longer rigidity his time table down the throats of the unwilling. contained in the lengthy time period, this has been easily good for usa as his election has uncovered the time table and hypocrisy of the severe left. Obama is toast 2012! Edit- LMAO-lots of the responses from the left listed less than are so hypocritical and misguided, that is easily humorous. First, accusing the right of flinging labels. C'mon, labels were thrown round through all aspects because the start of guy. that is not any longer entirely a conservative monopoly. second, little lady, putting forward that in undemanding words intellectuals help communism because (you're implying) they're by some potential smarter than the final American is only a lie. To you that is probable exceedingly actual because the in undemanding words intellectuals you comprehend are your professors, professional lecturers who do no longer stay contained in the actual international and nonetheless receives a fee no remember what they spout. 0.33, draw close out with Marxists, communicate like a Marxist, you need to in simple terms be categorized a Marxist, a communist, the socialist proper. It's a kind of reverse NIMBYism. Everyone wants their little piece of the pie from the "goverment"-us?, even as they say they don't like socialism in principle.
