light can go beyond the speed you are refering to.
In the past few years, scientists have found ways to make light go both faster and slower than its usual speed limit, but now researchers at the University of Rochester have published a paper today in Science on how they've gone one step further: pushing light into reverse. As if to defy common sense, the backward-moving pulse of light travels faster than light.

Scientists have sent electical signals up to four times the speed of light. The force of a black hole is not measured by speed. The gravitational pull of a black hole is great enough to pull or actually bend the light back. As for the speed of light being as fast as anything can go, the knowledge back when those formulas were published was limited. Now, we know that some objects can travel faster than the speed of light.

Well you are talking about two different things. First off sorry you cannot, or rather nothing can go beyond the speed of light, there is a way to get around this though. By folding space you can get somewhere faster than if you traveled at the speed of light. As for the black hole light issue, photons have mass, therefore they are affected by gravity.

Einstein's theory of relativity precisely prevents anything to be faster than light.. That is the cosmological speed barrier and the parameter for everything else in the known universe... Black holes have such such a warped spacetime that even light could not escape from it, and by the way the warping of spacetime is more commonly known as GRAVITY.. I had a hard time figuring this one out too but someone from webdatedotcom told me how the whole thing works

You are on to something. It is gravity that has the possibility of breaking the light barrier. Not gravity......"Gravitational energy". Enough of it and you could pull the Universe inside a point in space, control it and instead of pulling the universe inside a space you could just pull millions of miles inside a space which would still make you travel faster than light...wait just a minute......a black hole already does that but going faster than light would present a problem. No one would know it........not even you.....what instrument would you use. You would not even be able to see stars.....just a whiteness from all the energy you pass. Take that star trek!

The dude named 'not tellin" is right on, as I was trying to word the answer your question in right terms.
light travels in a straight line, manipulating space to bend is the hard part. Mr.Stephen Hawking made mention to worm holes in space similar to Black holes.
Except these wormhole's could possibly propel a craft at greater than the speed of light and what kind of device can withstand that incredible speed, let alone any human that could survive the G force without becoming part of the craft. It is all speculation as we humans do. but bending space whatever type of force that can do this is virtually unknown. So discover how to make a time machine with the thought that time is man made as well as the common thought that speed of light (who cares think beyond the box. The beginning of knowledge is in the discovery of something unknown.
Understanding and overcoming the enigma of the ingrained concept of time. Then you will be able to go someplace without the need to travel at the speed of light, which is also ingrained in our minds their will always be something faster. what need do we have to travel that fast? must be considered.

no longer AS we broke the sound barrier, no. All we had to do to interrupt the sound barrier become to circulate swifter. there is an absolute velocity cut back to the universe; the fee of sunshine. There are some theoretical the variety to circulate "swifter" interior the experience of utilizing malicious software holes or in any different case circulate by way of a fourth or 5th measurement, even though it does not contain uncomplicated acceleration. I do think of it rather is achievable we would some day "sneak around" or "tunnel by way of" the easy barrier, even though it rather is not broken the way the sound barrier become.

a black hole can "sallow" light not because it is faster that light but because it has an extremely high gravity whihc does not let the lght escape...
also according to some formulas(whihc i frgt) it has been deduced that NOTHING can go faster than light
