They arent always happy. As a matter of fact, Americans usually look happier than Russians.

They're not. I've been there. They work and have little to say. Try getting a drink of water.
Maybe you're confusing nationalism with actually being happy because you have time to do things you like.
By the way, not to nitpick, but they're Soviets, it means to council or council. Russian is the language and a part of the countries name.

I don't disagree with the others who has already answered for this as every one has got their own way of thinking,but
i feel its the way they work for their sucess and every indivisual work for their sucess.And this country has been soviet union and many more and each one works hard for their identity and they are doing it till date, as we all know a person who works hard will definetly be sucess and the sucess all the time in them might be making them feel proud about themselves and happy.
