Well, really you can't do anything. Your mother knows she's obese and she's the one who has to change herself. Most importantly do not nag her about her weight. You can support her if she wants to do it, but in the end it has to be her responsibility and her desire that helps her to lose weight. If she doesn't want to lose the weight she won't and nothing you can do will change that.

Put her on a high fibre diet. fruits(Avoid sweet fruits), vegatables. strictly ration her fat intake. do not let her eat any junk food at all. Let her eat 6 times a day in small portions. Make her walk 1 hour a day without fail. She has to do this for atleast 2 month to begin to see a difference and 6-7 months make a significant difference.
Good Luck!!!!!!!!

You should talk to her about your concerns. Show her some info on the internet about obesity and the dangers of it. Tell her if she decides to lose weight that you'll stand behind her. If she needs support I run a free dieting ring on Bravenet and she's welcome to join. http://pub33.bravenet.com/sitering/show.php?usernum=2786503725 We keep diaries of our dieting progress and we help to encourage one-another. Either way, in the end, the decision is hers.
