this is an easy challenge to all mensans out there... please send me your answers... i just wanna know how you think... thank you... =^_^=

Technically there are only 4 answers that will work, and they all rely on parentheses to modify the natural precedence rules:

(5+5/5)*5
(5/5+5)*5
5*(5+5/5)
5*(5/5+5)

As you can see they are all variations on (5 + 1) * 5, where you use 5/5 = 1. So there is really just one answer.

You can easily solve problems like this yourself using the link below...

For example, can you make 24 using 3, 3, 8, 8? Try it before you cheat... also, note that the solver allows % (mod) as an operator, so you may have to filter out those results.

5 divide 5 = 1
1 plus 5 =6
6 times 5 = 30 so

(5/5+5)*5=30

are parenthesis allowed to be put into the spaces? can you put more than one mathematical sign per space? if not, it cannot be done using the standard order of operations used throughout mathematics. unless mensans can change the laws of math, this is impossible unless you make yourself clearer

(5/5+5)*(5) does not equal 5/5+5*5. the second one is 26, the first one is 30

but 20+5 does not equal 30.

The one with the parenthesis works.

25 minus 5 is 20, but when you add five back it's 30? I can see why it was so easy for you, you just make it equal whatever you want.

Sure, 5*(5+5/5) == 30.

Or 55-5*5 == 30.

But you can also cheat ...

Let $ be the operator m$n == m.

Then 5*5+5$5 == 30.

But never cheat in math!
