no, reason being: cell phones are actually very expensive for a company to buy. A store buys a cell phone for lets say $200, and is giving it away for free with a contract. The company loses that $200 for 6 months, and the the cell service provider reimburses the retail store for the phone plus a commission since you got the customer to stay for 2 years(they know they will make money off him). If your not signing a contract, and were to receive a phone for free, the cell phone business would be gone fast. They may be little tiny things, but you have to remember, they can do just as much as a computer can sometimes....there expensive.

No, total scams all the way.

All cellular carriers run credit checks unless you're going via the way of Prepaid.

And w/ prepaid...there's no such thing as free.

nope, they will all want something, or you will either have to pay a high deposit to get a phone, they want to make sure they have either a deposit, credit card, or a good credit report on file.
