Obviously search specifically for questions dealing with homosexuality. I mean, I see the same people post over and over again.

i dont know if this will help them to "change: their views about preaching but i'm gonna try it anyway.
i was a child that was sent to sunday school and learnt about what God's words are, so that this suday school that i was going, they had this little mini books that made it easy for young children like me to understand God a little more....
i remember reading this one edition that talks about people doing God's work, in this little book (it was th cutest little book, but i am digressing) a story was told:
about a family, jones, that always preaches and doesnt lotsa charities.... in the end, when its time for judgment , they were condemned to hell. the story continues to to state that whomever is doing God's work, must do so with the purest intent. (ie: no intent of going o heaven but you do so because you really want to help people)
the jones' had eternal paradise in their minds whenthey preached so therefore it was void in a way....

maybe all you homophobes out there who are either:
1. christian fundamentalists - let he who has not sin cast the 1st stone , do you sincerely think its easy for us to deal with the fact that God finds me disgusting? and even i love Her so much, i'm still condemned to hell just because i'm gay
(another thing i learnt at sunday school is that, there is no such thing as "big" sin or "small" sin, all sins are greeted with the same sanctions (ie: eternity in hell ....... the religion doesnt sound very attractive now does it? )

so please question your motives for "preaching" around the LGBTQ area... we do NOT welcome preaching but we welcome ppl who can appreciate that we are humans too........i mean what the hell are you doing here anyway! sigh.....

2. petty gay bashers, please go get a life and worry about your own dirty linen for once..... for all you know, your parents or loved ones are gay too, but because of ppl like you out there, they will forever be tormented by their secret and willl never lead a happy life....
would you seriously want that for someone you love?

dont mean to offend anyone but i'm quite sure i got a few titti*s and b@lls in a twist..... no animosity towards anyone, just animosity towards prejudice

I'm straight and I used to consider my self a homophobes. Then I realized that people are people. It's as simple as that. I regret acting the way I used to act towards other people who are different than me - If i could take it back believe me I would. I now feel sorry for people who do not come out of their box. They are ignorant. So I speak from experience. Hope this was helpful and have a great day! :-)

They might have an addictive personality - a compulsion to post - such that they may experience a euphoria; derived from their (perceived) moral superiority. I disagree with them but one should respect their entitlement to hold their view.

They may be religious and truly believe that it is God's Will that we should be harangued into repentance & salvation; through straightdom. I commend these on their conviction and genuine desire to help - although I, graciously, decline their offer.

Or they may be trolls; posting for effect. Like a marionette, I succumb to their whim and respond with verve and gusto - and, I hope, a little humour. These I truly consider to be wastrels and I shall, on occasion, report them for going one over the odds (to my mind).

I think I asked Yahoo about the possibility of an unmoderated, R18/R21 Category on Y! Answers called Flame Wars...

I feel that people who are 'homophobes' are people who are afraid of change and the unknown. Back in the day, being gay or lesbian was a taboo, and only heterosexual relationships were recognized. Now, we are more accepting of others and their chosen paths in life. However, it depends on the upbringing of the individual and their experiences in life, to have the reaction to people who are different.

Well you don't quite know if they are homophobes or trolls. Both are equally despicable but at least homophobes are just expressing an opinion as opposed to a troll who is just seeking a rise or a flame war.
