Also, I've always wanted a fairy, butterfly, or a mermaid tattoo. Will one of those look ugly or nice on my lower right back side?

Yeah....It will feel like a scrape or a severe mosquito bite...It'll itch and be sore for a couple of weeks, but if you take care of it and wash it, and dry it really good you will heal...Just make sure if you go in the sun you put SP40 or better on it or it will fade.

If you are a guy then the fairy will look gay. If you are gay then it will look fine! If you are a girl then your lover will like the fairy or mermaid. Remember, the tat is for your pleasure and those you share your body with...

Incognito in Pasadena California is a great place to get a Tat. As long as you see them take the needles out of the autoclave packet and the strip is white there shouldn't be a problem...There IS ALWAYS a chance to get an infection if they didn't clean the needles right....but MOST parlors will do it right...

Tattoos feel different to different people. Some people say they hurt really bad. My boyfriend has either 11 or 12 (too many), he said he liked the first one so much, he had to go get another one. He was some on both of his arms, stomach, and butt. He said the only one that hurt was the stomach.

Make sure that you go to a reputable artist who has lots of experience. Ask to see pics of the art he's done on other people. Yes, it's going to hurt. It's not intolerable. I have four and two of them are on my lower back. It's a needle going really fast in and out of your skin and you'll bleed. Don't drink at all before you go because that will make you bleed more. Most tatoo places won't tatoo you if you have been drinking. Good luck!

I think your choice of tatoo is quite nice...it'll look good.
As far as the hurting goes...its not that bad.Its a bit painfull if they place the tatoo on a place where you have not much fat...where they place it directly on your bone....you say you want it on your backside....you have at least some fat there so the feeling will be more annoying than painfull. If you're scared, bring a friend with you for support, that helps! And try to relax while they place it,focus on something else....

in short, yes, it does hurt.
my first tattoo took 3 hours to do and ran down my spine, covering about half my back.
however it is a relatively bareable pain for a while, first it hurts, then the pain starts to dull a bit, then, if its a long tattoo to complete it starts to hurt again.
the good news is, once the tattoo is done, it doesnt hurt at all.

it would hurt less if it wasnt on a bony area, your bum is fairly fleshy.
as for the tattoo its self, get what you will be happy with, but my advice, get something that has personal meaning to you, dont do it for fassion sake.

it will hurt and you could get hepatitis and hepatitis can kill you.
I herd a story about a guy that got drunk and when he wok up the next morning he had a pain on his back side so he looked in a mirror and to his surprise he had a tattoo on his butt.the tattoo was of a little red devil with a shovel and the little red devil was shoveling coal in to his butt crack.

It will hurt, no matter where you get the tat hun... but the closer to a boney area, the more it will hurt. (that's just an fyi) And all 3 of those choices would look beautiful! Good luck!

I have one in that position on my back. It does hurt but minimally.

Go to a reputable tattoo artist. If it hurts, it generally means they're doing it wrong, so it should be uncomfortable, but not unbearable painful.

It will hurt, but it's worth it. All three sound pretty. Make sure it's something you like very much not just a bit. Have fun with it! It's not as painful as giving birth.
