how come haru turns into a cow? he's a boy, right, so he should turn into an ox. it worries me

oh, yeah, and does the anime really say he's twelve? i saw it on the net - he's FIFTEEN!! yeesh, get it right why don't you... anyway, does it really say that?

well, his hair color is black-and-white, so is a cow's. an ox is just one color: black. I think that when the cursed sohmas turn into animals, gender doesn't actually matter there. I hope this helped a bit. I'm not all that sure anyway....

In the Zodiac, the cow and the ox are interchangable. My guess would be that "cow" matched up better with the mouth flaps and that oxen are, in fact, castrated cows. From what I've seen of the manga, Haru is anything but castrated.

Yeah...I noticed that too...but in the orginial zoidac the cow was repressed by a cow instead of an ox and they mention the member instead of being an ox as the cow...but its still weird but I don't think that the curse goes by gender...just like Hatori turns into a seahorse instead of a real dragon..
