I love classic rock. Each band had there own unique style and they weren't afraid to express their individuality. Hard rocking and hard working. They played what they felt from their hearts and souls and had to work harder to get to the top. Canadian musicians for instance often had to go elsewhere to hit the airwaves because not much Canadian content was being broadcasted. This was true in the earlier years for such greats as The Quess Who from Winnipeg, Manitoba, who became one of the top selling bands in the world. Led Zepplin, Super Tramp, the Stones, The Band, etc. were the fathers of rock and roll and had talent which is hard to find these days. I could listen to Zepplin all day and never tire of it. It seems like the bands now are so commercialized that they all sound the same or need to come up with some gimmick to be stand out. The old bands played with passion and played what they wanted to play...not what the public wanted from them. Remember when parents thought that rock and roll bands were driven by the devil? lol
It wasn't the devil, it was a lot of drugs, guts and determination to express themselves and it created a sound that we had not heard before and probably never will again. They also brought a lot of awareness to the public about world issues like the Vietnamese War and poverty. They practiced freedom of speech before there was a name for it. Memories of the peace and love days flood back when you listen to the old rockers and it reminds me of the two years of hitch hiking around the country, eating a whole lot of rice and granola on the side of the highway. Their music will never die. The Stones ...together for over forty years and still going strong. Ya gotta love it.

YES I do alot......when I was younger, I hated listening to classic rock. I started listening to it in the early 90's. Now, I listen to it every day. I can even name the song and artist with in a 1/10 of a second... I'm either listening to it while on the computer. While showering and getting ready for the day. When I drive some where. When I go to bed. Have been that way since I was in middle school.
