I am guessing here, I have been around a toddler with autism. He was anti- social, would not play with or talk to the other children around him. Was in his own world. If your baby seems to not respond to you, seems in their own world, or in any way you are concerned, you must see your baby's doctor.
Remember though, babies do not all develop exactly at the same rate. At this age typically, baby should be sitiing up on their own, laughing with you, smiling at you when you smile, making lots of eye contact, generally responding to sounds and sights around them.
All the best to you.

Receiving a diagnosis of autism this young is rare. He is still young and a doctor would more likely get one in a year or so from now. PPD is a more likely diagnosis for a toddler. PPD is in the autism spectrum.
Characteristics are "staying in his own little world" Not imitating others, playing with a toy and not paying attention to anyone around. Not responding to his name.
A big sign is self stimulation. Watching his hands flap or fingers flick.
No big smiles or other warm, joyful expressions by six months or thereafter
No back-and-forth sharing of sounds, smiles, or other facial expressions by nine months or thereafter
No babbling by 12 months
No back-and-forth gestures, such as pointing, showing, reaching, or waving by 12 months
No words by 16 months
No two-word meaningful phrases (without imitating or repeating) by 24 months
Any loss of speech or babbling or social skills at any age
Autism has either 7 or 13 criteria. Just because some are present does not meen that your baby is autistic. It's like if you have a limp does not automatically mean your leg is broken.
Early intervention is important. Ask your pediatrician how to get your baby tested. Maybe occupational /speach therapy will be assessed in a year or so
What makes you ask. Like I said it is really too early to tell

Repetitive movement such as hitting itself or banging its head on the floor. Also listlessness and lack of interest.By 6-7 months a baby should be trying to form words and smiling. Some are even Trying to crawl.Autistic baby's have not reached these points yet.Autistic s are actually very smart. They are just kinda locked away in there heads. If you fear a child may have autism see a doctor. Also visit the Mayo clinics web site. They can give you a list of symptoms.â¥

your baby is really small but big enough to respond to you
for example if you play with him, does he enjoy you? does he laugh and concentrates on you?
if no, than please consult a doctor as discovering autism at an early stage is very helpfull

and good luck
