That was my situation.
All my family are right handed and I am the only left handed one.
The funny bit was without asking first I made friends with people at school and hung around them at lunch time to find out that all of them were left handed. It was crazy like we all attracted one another. There was a group of 8 of us.

I was the only left hander in my family, and my mother was forever calling me clumsy because I couldn't manage scissors or pens the way they all could.
The strange thing is I married a right hander but both the children are left handed, and schools are much more aware now that left handed children have a different set of issues to deal with. My daughter is very artistic, something I was useless at because there were no left handed scissors available for one thing.
