Alexander the Great

Never lost a battle in which he engaged, invented Koine greek (one of the most precise languages in history), and was half of the only father-son genius pair in history. He conquered the known world in 8 years, and built and held on of the largest empires in history. He receive a great education-trained by Aristotle, and by allying with the Persians, increased the West's knowledge of astronomy, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. He sent General/Admiral Nearchus around the Indian Ocean and up the Persian Gulf; Nearchus discovered countless plant life, sea life, unknown ground-dwelling animal life, and the monsoon cycle. Alexander gave Nearchus's notes to Aristotle, who wrote 25 volumes on history, science, and plant/animal life.
