As anyone who has lived in Hollywood will attest to, rumors spread like wildfire. It appears that during the height of Rory Emerald’s celebrity status, circa 1985, the media was following him day and night, trying to get that elusive and more importantly exclusive story.

At that time, Emerald was in a “Welch’s grape juice phase”. He drank the juice day and night, mixing it with whatever alcoholic substance he could get his hands on. Sometimes words and phrases are taken out of context and blown way out of proportion. One wag, for the LA Times overheard Emerald praising Welch’s grape juice and saying “it’s just like momma used to make it” This reporter interpreted this to mean that the famous actress Raquel Welch was indeed Emerald’s biological mother.

This created a furor in the city of angels, and to dispel any further ridiculous notions that Ms. Welch was Emerald’s mother, he contacted the sex bombshell actress for a romantic and sexual liaison. Ms. Welch was quick to comply, and spent the weekend at his lavish estate. This further enraged the people of that fine Southern California city, who felt he was a little out of line engaging in sexual activities with his own mother. Despite denials from both parties, and apparently rough and wild sex, the allegations continued for several years, before finally dying out.
