The NY Times published a story
(http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/07/science/07evolve.html?ex=1299387600&en=03aecd6036986b0e&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss) reporting scientists have discovered humans are evolving now. Doesn't that finally prove to creationists they have been wrong all along?

Of course humans are still evolving - how else would you explain Britney Spears?

She is what most people are trying to evolve FROM.

humanity has been evolving daily, everytime that conception occurs a new human is created, the most fertile ovum and the fastest and most viable sprem cell tends to be the most evolved, so there for the stronger traits of both parents would then be passed on. this is not so if either or both of the parents have genetic flaws that may be passed on. thats why in humans like most animals we are very selective in choosing our mates, this type of selected breading has been the reason why humands have larger brains and more complicated design than our prehistoric ancestors. take a dog, the ability to bread them and get new varients is a form of evolution. as far as creationist being wrong I believe the interpretation of the begining of life as told in the bible would incorrect but however the interpretation by those who understand the bible is not very dissimilar to the scientific version. for example creationists know that 7 days was not what was meant but a metafor to separate a time period when things occured. remember if not for the spiritual belief that most people on this planet have we would most likely be a stagnant race, the ability to explore was derived from the understanding that something or someone greater than us caused life itself, the desire to seek answers is what makes our species the dominant in brain power. but again with our ability to be so self destructive, is it really such a great thing?

It makes sense. But keep in mind that the study relies on changes that have occurred in the past several thousand years. It's actually nearly impossible to view evolution as it is happening right now.

Also, it may be possible that since the races are now less separated, and also because we have come up with so many inventions to "ease" our minds and bodies, natural selective processes are much weaker now than in the past. Imagine that 10,000 years ago, you not only had to fight for food, but you had to fend off rivals as well as predators. It was do or die. Today's situation is not as dire- and therefore the selective pressures are probably not as pronounced (unless you live in the Bronx).

Yes, humans are still evolving. Toward that end we have various races and each has a different effect. The white race has made the yellow race larger, handsomer, and the yellow race has made the white race with the capacity for more discipline, indisputably smarter.

Everything is evolving, constantly. As the surroundings change, people/animals/things change to adapt.
If you go to high altitude places, you'll find that the people there have a greater lung capacity and strength. Different animals that have changed to their environment are always on the news.

And no, that doesn't prove anything, because people will always find a way around it, so it doesn't matter. :/

I m not sure if they are really evolving in a scientific sense, but there sure are many instances where we see humans making monkeys out of themselves! reverse evolution!

yes i think we are evolving but it is such a slow processthat it is hard to keep record but one of the example is that we are changing like loss of hair, ear muscle, nd increased cranial capacity than our ancestors

Yes, but they are not interested in proofs, they believe without questioning if that's possible or not.
