Your question makes no sense what so ever. We don't help underpriviledged nations? Wasnt it the US who donated approximately 7.3 billion dollars to asia after the tsunami hit in 04. this includes money, food, goods and serices. wasnt it the US who donated over 500 million to pakistan after the earthquake last year? this seems like alot of money to me I mean hell I dont see myself ever getting to see the kind of money that we donated to these two natural disasters but I guee Bill Gates might. as it stands the united states is one of the first countries people turn to in time of need. So i relly am not sure where you are getting your facts from.

for the same reason you don't want a bunch of poor friends we as a nation don't want a bunch of poor hungry friends-they can only take ,take,take-it harkens back to the old question ,is it better to be loved or feared-in international polotics i'll take FEARED everytime.(read your history book,did anyone EVER take SOVIET citizens hostage or NAZI GERMAN citizens hostage,hell no! STALIN OR HITLER either one would not have tolerated that stuff!!
