My period has never been very regular. I am in my late teens, so I do not know whether or not that is quite normal. XD However, I do know that normally I bleed quite heavily during my period. However, this last period was a wee bit different: It was rather light in the middle, with serious lightness at the beginning and end, no blood clots like I normally have, and lasted seven days. Normally mine last about 5, going from medium flow, to heavy, to light.

Two weeks before this, I had sex. However, I used a condom.

I took a pregnancy test today *Been about four or five days since that last period ended* and it was negative.

Should I be worried at all? Or is this just my body reacting to something completely different?

Thank you guys! <3

Having your period, regardless of the fact that it was different from previous cycles, and having a negative pregnancy test, would be strong indications that you're not pregnant.

I don't think you are pregnant, some times when we are under a lot of stress or worried about something it could make your period slow down, not be as heavy. But if you are worried go have it checked out so it can put your mind at ease. Plus if your partner used a condom then most likely your not.

Just relax...If you used a condom then theres a slim chance you're pregnant..It can take a few years for a girls body to adapt to have regular periods...If you're concerned wait a week take a test and still negative dont worry about it..Other wise go and see a doc for blood work..This will tell you one way or the other..
Hands up to you for using protection :)

Hey I feel for you. But however i have kind of been in your situation. So i consulted a doctor and she told me that if you truly think that you might be pregnant then your body will think that you are and act different. She told me that I should just relax and not think too hard about it and everything will be fine. And thank god it was. My advice is to go to a doc next month and get a test again just to be sure. Good luck

Your body is telling you that since you are a teen you should close up shop and abstain from sex until you are ready to deal with the possable consiquences like kids.

So take this as a warning and feel lucky that you have another chance.

It might be some Hormonal disbalance and if you are having it just one month or only a few then it is normal nothing to worry about.I would take another pregnanacy test in a week or 2 though just to be sure.

you might want to go into the obgyn and get a pap smear. i had irregular periods almost exactly like yours.. i just recently went in for a pap smear (because i'm pregnant) and it happened to be an abnormal result which could many things. just get yourself a check up find out why you're having irregular periods it's usually not normal.

Don't think so... Go to a doctor to find out. Who knows it could be some symptoms of cancer? Take care
