once a day is sufficient. use time wisely and you dont have to kill yourself. Consistency is the most important thing dont burn yourself out. Work hard but make it enjoyable. having a partner is good also. You will see great results in months trust me. Eat right but cheat a little from time to time. You dont want to go on a binge later.

It depends on your goals and not just your weight. To maintain a healthy exercise regimen, I try to exercise for 1 hour 3 times a week. "Exercise" could mean going to the gym, but also going for a run or a hike or playing sports outside. I vary the activities I do as well as the amount of time I spend doing them. This helps counteract boredom, but also ensures that I am not stressing my body by doing the same exercises over and over again.
The number of times you go to the gym is really up to you. There is no "right" answer. It depends on your goals and on how frequently you visit in a given week, much time you spend there when you go, what you do while you are there, and at what intensity.
Going more than once a day can actually counteract the benefits of going to the gym. When we exercise, particularly weight training, we are actually tearing muscle. The tears spark muscle growth which in turn creates more muscle. In order to gain strength, the muscle needs time to heal. Going to the gym multiple times a day may do more harm than good because it doesn't allow time for the muscle to recover and can lead to repetitive stress injuries since the muscle is already in a weakened state.
Keep in mind, going to the gym alone won't shed pounds or even change the scale as muscle weighs more than fat, but it will help with muscle tone and most importantly - help give you the self confidence to love yourself for who you are!

I think you mean a WEEK or something. You should really only go to the gym once a day unless you are separating different aspects of your workout throughout the day (like cardio in the morning and weights in the afternoon or evening or something). But really, you should space out workouts throughout the week, and make sure you rest a day in between so that you don't strain your body.
Ultimately it would be great if you could talk to your doctor or a trainer to see how often you should go and exactly what you should do.
