Yes, you can store them in a glass jar and they will store great. Just make sure that everything is dry before you put them in. It's best to keep the jar in a cool, dark place like a basement. If you're really worried about the seeds you can put a little dessicant in the jar before you seal it up to keep the inside of the jar dry. If you can't find dessicant, throw some rice in the jar to soak up the excess moisture. If you don't want the rice mixing with the seeds put it in small open paper bag.

For some seeds, it's best to just put them in a paper bag and put them in a refrigerator. Some seeds need to go through a cold phase to germinate better.

Cool, dark place if you want to store seed. Glass will sweat and allow light. Just wrap them in a brown paper bag. We keep ours on a shelf in the basement.

Cool, dry, dark locations for seeds until you want to use them. Some need to be kept cold for 6 to 8 weeks before you plant. Not necessarily sealed in glass, I use paper.

If your seed have any moisture in them at all and they usually do if they are viable they need some air circulation to keep them from going moldy. Paper is always the best answer.
