why do you think plasma exisit in all living things? why aren't there living thing that don't have a membrane at their periphery

The reason plasm exisits in all living things is because all living things are made up of cells, which have organelles (eukaryotic cells) and these organelles are suspended in an plasma such as cytoplasm. Without plasma these organelles would not be able to survive and function and therefore the cell would die and therefore the organism (animal) would die.
