That is a question that you should've addressed during the interview. It is acceptable to call that person now for a follow-up. Make sure and thank the person for the interview, touch on a couple of your selling points and ask for a date that the position will be filled by. A lot of companies don't even call you back to say the job has been filled. I would also send a written thank you note to the interviewer. That will set you aside from the competition. Good luck!

If they're going to make an offer, you should normally hear from them within a week or two.
Did you send your thank-you note?
Have you followed up with the interviewer?
I'm a manager with hiring authority and any applicant that doesn't complete those two critical steps drops to the bottom of the pile no matter how well the interview went. There's always someone in the "Worth Another Look" pile that does those things and they usually get the first offer.

Depends on how quickly they need the position filled. If its been 5-7 days or more, give them a call and ask whats up.

You should call them back in a few days. Callbacks depend somewhat on how urgently they need to fill the position.
