It depends on what type of "popular" you mean, remember, if you are popular for something that is bad, don't mistaken it for infamous, two competely different things. If you are popular for always lending a helping hand, being friendly to everyone (when I mean everyone, I mean everyone in the whole school). As long as you are not the one being a jerk it is very good to be popular.

Well, just remember that what is right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right. Not always is your key phrase here. Keep that in mind. Always do the right thing and then, it doesn't matter if you are popular or not because you know in your heart you are doing the right thing.

If you are popular, you will find that you will have almost no close friends and have many superficial aqquaintances.
Keep an average profile, get a best friend. Go out in groups of 4 not 40. You will find life more meaningful

It can be fun, but it can also be bad too. While trying to "fit in" with your group, you sometimes hesitate to talk to certain people or do things that you'd love to do, out of fear that you'd be made fun of by your peers. I branched out in my last year of highschool, and met some of the best people I've ever met, who I wouldn't have given the time of day if I'd continued to try and fit in with the "cool kids". Just be yourself. It's not worth trying to hang out with people just because they are socially popular. The parties can be pretty fun though... : )

yes, to the point where you become popular because you are someone that the guys can go to for some cheap action, you don't want that to happen

its good but its bad too .u have no privacy ,people just pop up their nose in ur personal life to have a great gossip .and no one will like to be on the hit list on the gossip column
