any particular reason? usually when i am having a hard time sleeping i take a pill of melatonin (sp?) it's fairly cheap and probably every grocery store sells it. what I've been told is that it is a naturally occurring chemical that your body produces when it is time to sleep so that you feel tired. usually i take it about 1/2 an hour before i want to go to bed for about 3-4 days in a row and it kind of resets my natural clock and i begin to automatically get drowsy at the same time after that. be sure to also get up at the time you want to regularly want to get up, otherwise your clock could begin to work against you

Take a warm bath, get in bed, turn of all tv's and stereos, then only leave one lamp on and read a book. That's what always helped me before I had my son. Now I'm so desperate for sleep I can pass out anywhere. LOL

try not drinking coffee or tea in the evenings. have a hot shower before going to bed. hot milk before bedtime may help too. last but not least, avoid watching horror movies or doing exercises just before bedtime.

Golden slumbers
kiss your eyes,
Smiles wait you
when you arise.
Sleep, pretty baby,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby.

Cares you know not,
For now you sleep,
While over you,
a watch I'll keep.
Sleep, pretty darling,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby.
