Whether it is High School or College, clubs are cool groups that not only help you interact with your peers, they also look good on your resume. When businesses see that you participated in clubs at school, they know that you 1. are willing to commit to something and 2. can interact with others in a group. This can be the make or break ya when getting a job or trying to get into a certain college.

Good luck

It shows you can interact with people and activity in the group shows cooperation and maybe some leadership role. A good GPA and academics will help future employment, but activities show motivation and responsibilities to manage self and time to employers. Good clubs/activities: Scouts/Eagle Scout, Key Club, Clubs in your area of interest: FBLA, Future Nurses, Future Teachers, w/holding leadership positions, academic clubs: Language, Math, Biology, Historical society, Key Clubs, play Sports...join the band or theatrical group....etc.....

Most employers could care less about your G.P.A. just that you graduated, but the fact that you graduated and joined those clubs and held a job builds character and integrity and are essential in building your resume. Try to be a leader as well! I usually was in the social leadership position.

Colleges look for that. It's a big plus as far as getting above and beyond the rest of the group goes.

Because that's what makes the difference between getting admitted to a college or not getting admitted. GPA and test scores are not all that matter.
