Yes, I think so, but it depends what you mean by "shy".
If you're shy with your feelings, then that's completely fine by me. I also tend to be reserved and would MUCH prefer being best friends, or at least very very good friends with a girl before even talking about another sort of love. People get to know one another better that way, and it's also more natural...well for me at least :)
If you're shy about ***, then so much the better. Save that for after marriage. Love isn't about that. I hope you agree. Boys full of lust are shallow; avoid them at all costs, I've heard them talk about girls like toys.

If you're shy as in you can't express yourself properly in words (like, say, a five-year-old girl who hides behind her mother), then I might, just might, begin to feel that you're no deeper than looks. I do appreciate someone who is insightful and sensible, and has more than an ounce of brains. I do appreciate someone who is taciturn by nature but forthright when necessary.
So, a summary?
1. A plus for girls who are "shy" because they use their brains more than their mouths.
2. A plus for girls who are "shy" because they realise that love is supposed to be caring and understanding and NOT sexual attraction.
3. A minus for girls who are "shy" because they are afraid to speak or don't have enough brains to tell their mouths what to say.

being a girl i can tell you that they do. I'm shy and that's one of the things that guys tell me that they are attracted to when they meet me. They say because it's mysterious and it turns them on because shy and quiet girls are out of control in bed!!! Not that I have done anything but thats what they tell me. We just keep them wanting more. And usually when your shy you keep to yourself as far as guys are concerned. I mean that we don't try to talk to a lot of guys at once. we are usually faithful:)
