It is great she is interested in the news but also let her enjoy her childhood because it goes to fast ..

that's really good for a 9 year old. because i'm only 17 and my mother always encourage me to read the paper and watch the news on tv...which, u know..i'm too lazy to open the newspaper. tell her don't be like me. she will gain some inspiration from the news.

I also have a young daughter like this.Some news,I think,can harm a child so I have tried to limit her"news" time.Instead I try to interest her in a book or play matching games with her.♥

I think she should be encouraged to read no matter what the subject. It won't hurt her at all and certainly will help her to excell.

well i think values changes and it wont go for long so you need not to worry her future concerning(watching tv,reading news)
