i have a neighbor who likes to argue about the bible she often makes up her own rules and believes her opinion is what sholud be . she says she is a baptist and i used to be but the bible doesnt change and i know what baptist people believe.she adds her own beliefs and swears its in the bible

Yup I do and its funny in a weird sort of way how people will adapt what is in the Bible to suit their own needs. The book hasnt changed in a few thousand years I doubt its going to any time soon. Its all a matter of personal interpretation I guess but it shouldnt change every time you read it or speak about it to someone if you are a person of your convictions then it will stay the same.

You can't take religious fanatics seriously, so I would ignore her and be on my way. I'm an atheist, used to be president of Tucson Atheists, so I'm really good at ignoring the preachings of Christians who I'm surrounded by EVERYWHERE. My atheism is just as strong, or possibly stronger, than their faith, so I turn a deaf ear to proselytizing. Just ignore her and stand strong in your own beliefs, whatever they may be.

yes, they are referred to as "armed (knowing just enough about the Bible to reference it) and dangerous (but not enough about it to have received the full message)." Entering into an argument about it with this type of person is futile. I respond to them by smiling and saying, "Umm, Ms. ??? I think I will just dust my feet." see Matthew 10:14

I THINKIT IS GOOD THAT SHE (I ASSUME) STANDS FIRM TO HER BELIEF AND IT IS UP TO EACH INDIVIDUAL TO CREATE THEIR OWN BELIEFS BASED ON GODS WORD. JUST BC U C THINGS DIFFERENTLY DONT MAKE EITHER ONE RIGHT . THE BIBLE SAYS HE THAT KNOWETH TO DO GOOD AND DOETH IT NOT -TO HIM- IT IS SIN. I DONT FEEL CONVITED TO WEAR DRESSSES ALL THE TIME BUT OTHERS MIGHT, ETC....GET MY POINT? AND HEY, WHO SAYS I AM RIGHT IN MY BELIEF? IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO THE VERY INTENT AND MOTIVATION OF YOUR HEART.
