Yes, absolutely.
Burned DVD's work fine in both the XBOX and XBOX 360.
The original XBOX doesn't have the best laser for reading them, especially dual-layer DVD's. So if you have problems, try using a different brand of disc media.
Also if you're referring to illegal copies of games, don't bother asking here...that's not what I'm referring to

In an Xbox? Yes, however you need to get a mod chip installed that will tell the xbox to read the DVD.

You software to burn dvds to work on a regular Xbox and PS2.
Try searching for them in google.I think it is called some DVD platinum suite.Sorry for not being clear.

Xbox 360 can be hacked to play burned DVDs but will not do so as shipped from the factory. Here is some info about it.

Something that will really jerk a knot in your tail on it... And you might have this and you might not... but do you have the playback kit? And if so... if the DVD works in your DVD player... Than it should work on the X-Box...

download the .iso files from torrentspy or isohunt and then burn them using deepburner, sonic recordnow or nero.
