i think most cats are autistic by nature.

if they can they would not suffer from it very long, because in the wild if they spaced out they got munched on. I don't think their brains are advanced enough to get Autism, except for the great Apes because we share 98% of the same DNA so who knows.

No, I don't believe animals can get autism...but yet again dogs are known to get depression...that's something that makes a person say hummmmm.....
