I am currently going through and ugly battle with the father of my kids and child support. We have been apart for a long time now and he has been paying the bare minimum in childsupport. I have a modification set up but have so many questions.

Here's the deal. Breaking up is hard to do. I pay child support, but I am the mother. Rules are rules. We live in a very tough society. The bottom line is taking care of your kids and making sure that they turn out fantastic. I work from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 A.M. in the morning some days. I pay child support and I take care of one at home. Fair isn't always right is it?

I would suggest finding the child support recovery website for your state. They usually have a lot of FAQs that help, or at least some way of finding the answers.

You said UGLY BATTLE. I'll tell ya what my lawyer told me 2 1/2 years ago--don't expect a penny from him. She was wrong, in that time I've gotten a whopping $300.00 - but he and his skanky girlfriend are both druggies and losers, so I've just learned how to take care of our daughter myself and not count on him for jack!

dont go through the walefare to get childsupport they say fu** you when the money is 4 ur kids, they dont care. find a cheap but good lawer and take his a** to court

good luck sweetie my ex owes me a court ordered $42.00 a week for 14 years i know i will never see it.that is so disrespectful to the child.if you find out how to collect back child support let me know it would be nice to get all that money in one lump sum.

I KNOW MY SONS FATHER OWES ME OVER 17,000.00 COURT ORDERED SUPPORT AND THEY STILL CANT LOCATE HIM CUZ HE MOVES EVERY 2 MONTHS! BUT I WILL HAVE A NEW CAR WHEN THEY DO!!!!!!!! AND MY SON WILL HAVE A COLLEGE FUND SET UP!!!!
