I'm being harassed by people using search engines to find every instance of my first and last name. How can I keep people from Googling (for example) me and publishing every instance of my full name appearing on the Net?

you can't stop them from doing a google search (or other searches) on your name. Even if you pull off the Internet entirely, there is simply a lot of information that is a matter of public record. About the best thing you can do to protect yourself is to not post your personal information online anywhere. Then, you can google your own name and find out where it is popping up; contact those sites and ask them to take down references to you. There is no guarantee that they will; however, they won't if you don't ask either. You can't eliminate it entirely, but you certainly can try to mitigate how much is out there.

Of course, you might try to figure out why you are being harrassed and what format it is coming into you. If people are calling you and harrasing you, you can sign up for the do not call list and sign up for call blocking features from your telco. If it is via email, you can add those senders or domains to your black list. Or, create an email filter that denies everyone exept for those you explicitly allow.
