my husband and i are going to try a few cycles of artificial insemination before jumping to invitro fertilization. can anyone give me success stories and how many cycles it took for either process?

I went through a few cycles unsuccessfully, but I have heard a lot of success stories too. To find out more about the process & read personal stories, try this link:

i did two cycles at home (without drs assistance) and i was successful on my second try - though it recently ended in a miscarriage.

doing AI has about the same success rate as doing it "naturally", and either way count on doing at least 6 cycles. you may get lucky and get it on the first shot... or it may take longer. *shrug* i wish there was a definite answer!

My sister in law works at a dairy and she does this all the time. It seems to work quite well. Not sure about humans.
