Personally, i would rather live without religion because science has done so many technological things for our society to advance.

I think either would be fine, because religion was first "made up" to explain things, like why the sun rises and why people should be nice. As science (and I'm sort of including political science in this) advanced, it started conflicting with religion and that's why we have a lot of dissention. But I think if we only have one religion or just science, we'd all be able to live in harmony (maybe with short lifespans, but we'd be happy). Although, according to this theory, religion is the more outdated version of science.

The world I live in has both. God reveals and man observes. The source for Judeo-Christian culture is the bible. The bible is not a conversion manual, but a book for the believer.

Science (from the word to know) is based on the scientific method. A fact is an observation by two or more persons. An explanation of facts is called a theory. Whether God exist or does not exist is beyond the scope of science. Technology is the application of science to solve problems.

Most people have their beliefs and their observations. Sometimes their beliefs do not match the facts. Einstein stated that science demonstrated a need for a god. but that was not a fact, but a belief.

My world (and yours) has religion (way of life) and science (an explanation of facts). What you do with them is up to you.

Religions stem from the sciences, so I'd wipe out science to wipe out both by default. We'd roam the earth like the animals we were created to be, without a thinking mind, living in the now and at peace with everything around us in our own worlds. No waste, no fears, pure freedom. The perfect mixture of Science and Religion is Alchemy. "Science without religion is lame, Religion without science is blind." - Einstein

i rather live without religion, but the thing is that I do believe we need both. Science to explain us things in an apparent reasonable way and religion to control the mob.

The two things are not realated, but you can not live without them.
