I have Ian Kinsler to backup Roberts. How will Westbrook play down the stretch?

westbrook is always a real gamble. he'll be unhittable one day for a complete game, and then he'll get knocked out after two innings in his next start. i'd be very leery of trading for westbrook.

plus, i think roberts is a much better option at 2B than kinsler. i'd stay away from this trade. perhaps look to trade for a more consistent pitcher if you're intent on dealing roberts.

Why the Tigers would pick Chen i does no longer understand, however the Tigers probably wont sign Crawford or commerce for Uggla, De la Rosa is overvalued and would get destroyed interior the AL, Lilly and Olivo is clever, Thornton will return to the White Sox, Putz is going to the Phillies, if I have been a Tigers fan i does no longer get my hopes up, yet hi thats purely me speaking, oh and wood is a Yankee, no longer an Indian, and could be a loose Agent, no longer a commerce objective EDIT: Yeah yet Vazquez of the Yankees become a CY youthful candidate final 365 days with the Braves, and with the Yankees he's been undesirable, although he had a competent 365 days final 365 days, it become a success 365 days and he won't be doing that back

Simply put, no. Steals are very hard to find on the waiver wire, but mediocre starting pitching is abundant.

Heck if you picked up every available starter vs. KC away from Kaufmann Stadium - you'd compile the same or better numbers than westbrook.

Keep Robers and pick up a guy like John Lester, Josh Johnson, or see if someone dropped Jer. Weaver. They all have bigger upside than Westbrook

nooooooooooo! Roberts is an all star who hits for avg and steals bases. You can find 5 Westbrook's on the waiver wire any day. Just pick up whoever pitches agaisnt the Royals (if you need innings)

No way. Westbrook's inconsistancy will drive you crazy. Roberts will give you average and SB. See if John Lester is still availible as a free agent if you are looking for SP.
