3 players: Gerrard, Pirlo and Kakà

Great Gerrard. He's the best midfielder in the tournament. Forwards as Klose, Torres are too near themselves to select the best. Brazilian players wasn't so impressive, only Kaka scored and played well. Maybe tonight something will change... (I hope so). Argentina is the best team in this stage 1 and has many highlighted players. Between goalkeepers, yesterday Van Der Saar made the best save. Tim Cahill has been the hero in the best match played, Japan-Australia. And Joe Cole has scored the best goal.
But I'm sure something will change with the last stage matches...

riquelme for argentina. he's always in the middle of the pitch dictating his sides play, and he can run pass people and score as well. Hes one of the best midfielders in the world and is making a fine show of himself in 2006 World Cup

Ronaldo, if only for his improvement since the first two games for Brazil. I still can't believe he's the highest world cup scorer ever.
