Congrats! I am currently pregnant with #3. It is always possible that you could have another set of twins, as you age your chances of multiples continues to climb. Ask your doctor about your HCG levels to get some piece of mind for now, but as you know, an ultrasound is the way to confirm how many you're having.

The pain you're feeling in your ribs is not the baby. You are an experienced mom and your uterus grows faster than a first timer, but even if your uterus was that large already the baby doesn't nearly take up that space. The pain is most likely round ligament pain--which worsens with each pregnancy or indigestion. If you are worried, ask the doctor at the next visit. The fluttering feeling could possibly be the quickening, but it could also be gas, which you can feel as it progresses through your lower digestive tract. Best advice, you know your body better than anyone else.....you will know what you feel!

Good luck and a happy and safe pregnancy to you!

The big "Kicks" your feeling are prolly just gas...however I swore at 13 weeks I felt flutters....this being my first pregnancy. I was 15 weeks when I felt the first BIG kick and she hasnt stopped yet. But since this isnt your first pregnancy you could be feeling the baby. Congrats on the lil one!!

No, there is no way what you are feeling could be your baby if you are only 11 weeks pregnant - even if it was twins again.

The baby is completely contained within the uterus. At 11 weeks the fundus (the very top edge of your uterus) is still in your pelvis, down under and behind your pubic bone. At 12 weeks the fundus is just growing to and barely above the pubic bone. At 16 weeks the fundus will be about half way between the pubic bone and your belly button, and at 20 weeks the fundus will reach just under your belly button. As you can see, you still have a couple of months before the uterus and baby are anywhere near your ribs!

Probably what you are feeling is gas bubbles moving in your intestines. They can feel amazingly like the first flutterings of a baby. Most women who have already had at least one baby will feel their baby move for the first time at around 16 weeks - not really too far off for you!

I think you could very well be feeling the baby moving. It is agreed by most doctors that in your second and subsequent pregnancies, you will feel the baby move earlier than in your first pregnancy. This is because the muscles of your uterus are more slack (perhaps even more so after having twins), and you may be able to recognise the movements as the baby kicking earlier on. In general, thinner women will feel the baby move sooner than overweight women.

At 12 weeks, my baby was about 5.5cm from crown to rump, so at 11 weeks it wouldn't be much smaller. I think you may be able to feel that.

With my second pregnancy, I could definitely feel movement way early. I think it is because you know what you are looking for the next time around. As for it being twins I am not sure, I would really think about getting a ultra sound if i was you. Have a blessed pregnancy and congrats.

The baby does start moving early but you wont really feel it kicking. I had my twins 4 years ago. I'm 13 weeks and my baby move alot at night all ready. And it shows. All women pregnancies are different. Congrats

You know i may sound weird but i could feel the baby move when i was like 4 weeks along. I just know my body and i know it was the baby moving. Now no one but maybe an ultrasound can tell you if you have more than one but i can say that its very likely since you have already have twins. But i would really go get an ultrasound and see what they can find. Good luck.

i am pregnant with my 3rd also im 18 weeks now and first started feeling my baby move at about 13 weeks. you feel it sooner with each baby. but your uterus isnt even up to your belly button yet so i dont know about your ribs unless it just everything being pushed up there. If you had fraternal twins before that means you drop more than one egg sometimes so it could be 2 babies. Congratulations!

Not too early for baby to be kicking. My baby would ride up and get under my ribs and kick them - it hurt bad. Get on the ground like you are going to crawl, and let your back arch so you tummy drops down. This will get the baby out from under your rib area - until they get back in that position again. My baby did this the entire time- very uncomfortable.

It's impossible to feel your baby moving that early, because the baby hasn't even developed enough to move around..And you wouldn't feel anything in your ribs because the top of your uterus isn't even by your ribs, it's in between your pelvic bone and your belly button, not even there yet..you can't possibly be feeling your baby..I think you have a bad case of gas.
