We often see videos and news sourcing from the terrorists and they are posted in the internet. Is it not possible to track down these sources?

It is possible....the only problem is that many feeds get uploaded from same place in Arab Emirates or Turkey. Terrorists are getting more tricky though, they are using mirror sites and normal servers all over the world. The US currently has a task force that tracks these sites. (And has a phantom task force that will hack servers, grids, etc, to deny the bad guys the chance to upload, etc.)

We have very smart people that can track down these terrorist. So much is broadcast on television that America needs to keep quiet. It wasn't until the Internet age that the governments business was made known to us. Everything they did used to be secret. They kill people everyday that we don't know about.

If they have a messenger deliver them to Al-Jazeera or other news media, then no.
Most terrorists use messengers to deliver things like you mentioned.
Once in a rare while, they have fewer people involved which does help to follow the path back to the source. But by having a network, the material can change hands many times making it difficult to know who actually handled it.
