from the ventral side, starting from the throat straight down to the pubis region (the disection should look like capital "I" times new roman, the vertical line along longitudinal section)... if you want to make it as a rug...

put it into a boiling hot water and slowly scrap off the fur with a razor and then start to slice up the skin away from the flesh from the upper neck (behind the ears) to the tail...
