My mom wants to buy me a new mp3 player for my birthday. Which one would be a better, more valuable, long-lasting buy? A 30gb video Ipod or a 30gb Creative labs player. I have already had a somewhat bad experience with my creative zen micro, being that it started becoming faulty after only 3 months, and barely works to this date. Plz help....I am going to college in the fall and I really would love a player that will last longer than 3 months....hopefully a year or more.

Creative Labs Zen Vision:M is the best PMP there is, deffinatly the iPod killer

It has more features, more battery life, more file capability, the video quality is also way better than the iPod

One way to decide is to determine whether you're okay with being locked into iTunes or whether you want the flexibility of choosing from multiple services.

If you choose the iPod you'll be limited to iTunes and you'll need to pay for each individual song or video. That said, they have a larger selection of popular content videos than most other services.

If you choose the Creative device, you have the freedom to choose from multiple services (Yahoo! Music Unlimited, Rhapsody, MTV Urge) with the option to purchase individual songs or sign up for a subscription service.

If you're comparing the video iPod and the Creative Zen M:Vision, I'd give the edge to the iPod for a clean simple interface, but to the Vision for features and video screen. I've personally used both and the vision seems better suited as an all around player, whereas the iPod is definitely more geared for music.

Comparitively, the resourceful Zen MicroPhoto has extra helpful factors, however the iPod Nano has a extra clever interface. even however, often, the iPod Nano is while in comparison with the resourceful Zen V Plus, and the Zen V Plus is comparitively extra clever. It has extra helpful factors, consisting of voice recording, radio, very own organizer, and effortless transfers. It additionally has some thing referred to as "ZenCast", resourceful's decision to "iTunes, and truly of finding out to purchase tunes and video clips, ZenCast is loose. besides as that, it could additionally view video clips and photos on its OLED reveal screen, this is scratch resistant. however the Zen V Plus can not examine textual content fabric, nor does it have video games. An upside is that it truly is extra low-value: resourceful Zen V Plus - a million GB - ninety 9$ 2 GB - 139$ 4 GB - 179$ (does not are available in 8GB) iPod Nano - (does not are available in a million GB) 2 GB - 149$ 4 GB - 199$ 8 GB - 249$

I'm GUESSING that the Ipod will last longer, but the Creative will have more features.

My friend has a Creative player that's lasted for about a year, working fine.

i might be getting something from creative, because i like it better than ipod because it has more features and a bit more freedom in downloading the songs. you should go to the homepages of both the items and do some research. i sorta agree with victoryismine.

Video iPod!! hands up to that!!! I have one and I love it!! I couldn't live without it.

p.s. You'll love taking the iPod to college with you. And they have a warranty so if anything happens... you'll be ok.
