Get a professional to do it. You can't do it... how'd you get it flooded?

Pump the basement dry as soon as possible. Set up fans all over the place to dry out the area. Raise the carpet and place high velocity fans blowing on the back side of the carpet. The problem you are going to have is mold....if the carpet does not dry within a day or two, pitch it and replace. Good luck

because the Ice Age befell in the present day after the Flood (the Earth's environment and crust were risky). in this time, many of the water became locked in glaciers, which diminished the sea factor. in case you've been to diminish the sea factor through 1 hundred fifty ft, you would possibly want to discover that each and each and every person the continents and islands are appropriate through land. human beings and animals in the course of the Ice Age migrated outward and filled all accessible land. Then, because the Ice Age got here to an end with the melting of the glaciers about four hundred years later, the sea factor rose and reduce off those human beings and animals from the mainland. the finished objective of putting the animals contained in the ark became to save them from the Flood, which turned right into a global Flood. that signifies that the land that is at present Australia might want to even were underwater. So it does no longer defeat the objective of having them on the Ark.

Use a wetvac on the cement floor, for the carpets they gotta dry. Do you have flood insurance? Your going to proabaly have water damage to the carpets and the walls if they aren't cement. To clean the carpets gotta go professional and call someone that restores after floods.

A good heavy duty shop vac will help you get the water up out of the carpet, but be prepared to strip it out, at the first hint of smelling any mold or mildew. A carpet cleaner can also be used to take water up out of a carpet.

I'd also check into a dehumidifier to help with any remaining humidity.

Shop Vac, you will probably have to purchase, if you don't already have one that will handle water... the carpet cleaner tho, you can rent fairly easily... most grocery stores carry them, for instance.

Good Luck!

Buy a wet/dry vac at Home Depot or Lowes.
They only cost about $50. You are going to have to throw out the carpet and when the walls dry, spray them with lysol or bleach in a
spray bottle. Otherwise, you will get mold and mildew and family members could really be allergic and/or really get sick and you may have
serious illnesses and mounting doctor bills.

Throw out the carpets. 48 hours mildew sets in and that is dangerous.
