only if you are not old enough to drink.

Yes you should. A movie that you both can agree on is the best way to start a new relationship. After the movie get a bite to eat. And not a fast food resturant either. She is not cheap, No woman deserves to be taken to McDonalds on her first date. Some place cheap but nice at the same time. Be nice to her, and the first kiss for most women, we think that the first kiss will determine if the relationship is going to be good or bad. So if you kiss her goodnight, don't use too much tounge and make it romantic so she will call you back.
If you call her, don't wait til the 3rd day. Call her the next night. Women hate suspence. Especially from the opposite sex.
Good Luck!!

Sure, a movie is perfect for a first date. You won't need all that much help. She will be as nervous as you. Remember, the movie will take up a lot of time and afterward you can talk about the movie. Everything will be just fine. Good luck!

Well, it's not a very good place to really get to know each other.
Polite people don't talk in the theatre because it upsets them. They want to hear the movie.
If that's ALL you did, you would walk away at the end of the date, not knowing one more thing about each other, than you would have, staying home.
Try taking her to a quaint small restaurant and even to the zoo.
Another hit, is a picnic or horseback riding.
You could take her to a mall or an underground shop and if she likes something, that is not too expensive(and you're hitting it off). buy it for her.
Going to the beach or a nice lake would be nice. Ice skating, rollerskating, etc...They always allow 2 people, to really get to know each other.
I don't know your age but if you are in your late teens or 20's, dancing is usually a favorite thing, girls like to do.
All of these kind of things allow you the time to REALLY spend time together, to see if you both might have a future together.

I would suggest go out for a meal first and talk for a while plan the meal early enough so that if she is interested in seeing a movie you can go as the second part of the date...and a meal can be as simple as a burger joint or a fancy resturant it all depends on what sort of things she is into you need to talk with her before the date to see what she would like to do and what your budget allows

no, not to the movies. Movies on so impersonal. You can't get to know her or ask questions. How about a picnic in the park, going to a resturant, the zoo, a museum. Somewhere you can talk. A movie date is meant more when you are in a relationship. You sit and cuddle in a movie. It's pretty awkward when it's a first date. Good luck hun

It is the standard and the easiest, but not the best one.
Once in the movie, you can't really talk to one another, however after the movie, a coffee shop to talk about it, helps.
I'd suggest something more fun, as in bowling, or miniature gold, something of that ilk.
That way, you can talk, get to know each other and have fun too. Miniature golf. usually has an arcade attached, so more fun there too. Think about those options, and you may get some other good ideas.

in my opinion the moveis is a bad first Date u cant visit and talk and get to know each other at the movies. Dinner isnt such a good idea either, not very many females want to eat in front of someone they might not know to well. Try bowling, or a walk or something like that.

It's an idea but if you go see a movie together forget to speak with her during the movie but after the movie just invite her to take a drink or something else. You gonna have a time to speak with her after the movie.

Sure, I did and it worked out great, but we were friends first and had gone to the movies together a few times before. I let her know that I had wanted to put my arm around her before the date so I didn't have to try that lame yawn trick.

i think the movies is to anti-social for a first date. try a nice dinner first where you two can talk a little before you make the step to a date where there is no talking and getting to know eachother.
