Many organizations have a policy against this type of behavior. This policy is known as an "open door policy". If you work for a reputable company, they should participate in this type of an arrangement. If they have one, you may want to confront your boss's boss to make sure you are represented. This is especially important if there is some type of compensation or a patent that you should be recieving. Otherwise, your actions should be controlled by how much you value your job. You may bring more harm on yourself by "whining". Maybe you will want to take a different approach to presenting your ideas the next time you have the opportunity to do so.

Tell your boss (in front of those he gave your idea) that you have other ideas "like the one I shared with you". And maybe ask "Do I get any brownie points or bonuses for my idea?
Next time, document it before giving him/her the idea. Maybe send the idea in an e-mail and cc to a co worker or into your e-mail.
Good luck- I hate when that happens.

However I handled it differently.
At a meeting when the topic came up, I said "Wow, I'm glad I mentioned that to you back in August! I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see that get implimented!" and smile and nod approvingly.

I'd use it to my advantage, and tell him/her we make a great team. I'd also suggest that I could continue to contribute to his team, as long as he/she doesn't forget to take care of me. NOT to be confused with bribe, so make it clear, just that you don't mind that he got the credit (call him on it, in a positive way) but that it's ok with you as long as both of you as a team (willing to share credit makes you look good) so as long as he considers you in time of promotions, raises, hey, it's a win win situation.
If you don't like this, call him on it, and plan to move on.

i would confront but the downside is gettin fired he might not like that goin on so i dunno i might be a little cautious or not share my ideas anymore until he decided wat he did was wrong
